Gleison Bremer promises a good performance for Juventus in the 2022/2023 season. He delivered it after being tricked by Alvaro Morata at the end of pre-season.
Juventus had a very bad end to pre-season. The Old Lady were brushed 0-4 from Atletico Madrid and Morata as a former player scored a hat-trick.
One of Morata’s goals came after tricking Bremer, who was the best defender in Serie A last season. Due to the failure of the former Torino player, Morata was able to score a goal.
Bremer then made a post on his personal Instagram with a photo of the Juventus squad. The Brazilian man then wrote a few sentences.
“The end of pre-season. Thanks to the fans for all the support, I’m sure I will achieve this season and win. It will not be easy, but I will fight every day and give my best,” wrote Bremer.
Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri previously said the defeat to Atletico had its benefits. Juve were also brushed off by the Spanish club because they were tired.
“This defeat will only benefit us. We were tired when we played, worked hard in training when we came back from America,” Allegri told Sky Sport Italia.
“Atletico are definitely at a more advanced stage than us in pre-season preparations, but still don’t make excuses. The only solution is to focus and prepare for our season opener against Sassuolo.”
“We have to find the positives from negative situations. We have a week to prepare, especially mentally. We know that when there are three points to win, the attitude will be different,” Allegri added.
