In the afternoon, a local convict, forty years old, first beat a young man, then attacked a bar (injuring a customer), threatened a woman and tried to escape. He smashes the shop windows with a baseball bat. Stopped by the carabinieri, he was transferred to the barracks. An hour of madness like in the movie A Clockwork Orange.
He climbed onto the terrace of a bar in Sant’Antonio di Pontecagnano with his car: first he ran over a customer, who was having a coffee, then he tried to break through the window of the commercial army. Once out of the vehicle, stuck on the pavement, he takes a baseball bat and damages the windows of the bar (the Bagà). In the meantime, the carabinieri arrive, but the man runs away, threatening a woman relative to the owners of the bar with a knife.
The action of a clockwork orange, from the first reconstructions, seems to be linked to a story of jealousy. The man is a convict known to the police. Blocked by the carabinieri, he is accompanied to the barracks. Before the devastation of the bar, the arrested, he had beaten a young man who works in a nearby barbershop, also a relative of the owners of the bar.
Fortunately, the client, the lady and the young man did not report anything serious, they are all fine, but the tragedy has been touched upon.
