Young Lions open CE U20 against Slovenia

From July 16 to 24, the 23rd edition of Europe championship U20 will take place in the capital Montenegrin, Podgorica. With, among others, the Young Lions (U20) of the coach Steve Ibens.
”We are in a difficult group (group A) with the Slovenia, the France and Croatia. It’s the top sixteen countries in Europe competing in a European Championship, so you know what to expect,” says coach Steve Ibens, who is flanked by Tom Van Den Bosch et Christopher Begin. The Young Lions are truly in the ‘Group of Death’ but still start the European U20 Championship with a measure of healthy ambition.
Saturday at 4:30 p.m., the Belgium will start the European Championship with a strong opponent, the Slovenia. Of the four groups of four, everyone is qualified for the sixteenth finals.
However, a good starting position in the group is important in view of the 1/8th finals. From the round of 16, the match will be played in direct elimination. Classification matches will follow.
