Up to seven teams are tracking Donovan Mitchell

With the Knicks-Jazz talks over Donovan Mitchell on the sidelines, there are as many as six teams that have shown real interest in the Utah star. In addition to New York and Miami, the two most famous possible destinations, Washington, Charlotte, Sacramento, Toronto and Atlanta are now added. Although it is not known what type of offer each would have put on the table, as reported by Shams Charania in The Athletic.

Considering Danny Ainge intends to receive young talent and huge draft picks from Mitchell’s departure, it makes sense that these teams would be the top picks behind the Knicks. A priori, Raptors and Hawks are the ones that can make the best offer. According to previous leaks, the positions between Utah and New York would have distanced themselves due to the quantity and quality of the draft choices offered by the Knicks. Immanuel Quickley, Obi Toppin and Quentin Grimes seem immovable as core players to trade. But Ainge intends to get at least six rounds, four of them unprotected. Something that Leon Rose is not willing to give in to at the moment.

There, the Jazz have made it clear that they will take the time to try to get closer to the deal they want. The Knciks are still the favorites to get Mitchell, but if this continues, more and more teams will try to get their heads in the negotiations.
