Unusual, ATP > Thiem: “At Roland-Garros, I was able to hit with tenors on the circuit, but it was embarrassing because my ball was not advancing”

During his press conference at his home in Kizbühel, Dominic Thiem returned to a rather stressful period. Indeed, the Austrian player wanted to come back too quickly.

As a result, he trained hard and during his stay in Paris for Roland‐Garros he took the opportunity to organize sessions with top players. Unfortunately for him, the result was far from his hopes. Worse, he was a little ashamed.

“In Paris, I was able to hit the ball with tenors of the circuit but in the end it was quite embarrassing, because frequently I could not keep up. I was making way too many mistakes and above all my ball was not going forward on the forehand. I had never experienced such a situation. Fortunately, that is in the past. And I must admit that the sessions done recently with Andrey Rublev helped me a lot this time to find my rhythm. »
