I’m Orkun Tafci. I am studying at Trakya University, Faculty of Sports Sciences, Department of Physical Education and Sports Teaching. I am a 2nd year student. I’m playing basketball. Basketball is a team sport played with five players. Each team has a total of twelve players. I also play as a point guard in the Point Guard position. Our sports team was established in the year our school was founded. It was established so that students who are interested in basketball can play basketball and represent our school well. We do our training at the 75th Year Sports Complex. We also complete our fitness and strength exercises in our school’s fitness room. The number of our players reaches 15-16 people at the beginning of the term, but when we approach the official matches, our coach reduces this number to 12 people. We train 3-4 days a week at the 75th Year Sports Complex. Apart from this, we participate in friendly matches and official matches throughout the year. As Trakya University basketball team, we are in the Inter-University First League. Our school’s basketball team was promoted to Unilig a few years ago. All Trakya University students who are interested and talented in our basketball team can join. Our terms of recruiting players change every year. Thanks to basketball, I have become a more organized, hardworking and social person. I wish good luck to the candidates who will take the exam.
