Tornadoes must keep shaking – local sport

Mannheim. The good news for the Mannheim Tornados: After the split (7:4 and 2:4) at home against the Tübingen Hawks, the whirlwinds remain third from the bottom of the table in the South Baseball Bundesliga. The bad: The Mannheimers missed another possible liberation and still have to worry about staying in the league.

At the start of the relegation round, the tornadoes hit the penultimate Tübingen on Saturday in summery temperatures. In game one, Mannheim got off to a good start, with player-coach Juan Martin (holiday) missing. Carlos Perdomo in the third inning and Moritz Höhlein in the fourth each hit a home run.
