David Zima said that Kremencik’s English skills were worrying.
Torino young defender David Zima believes that the ability to master foreign languages is vital for professional footballers, and gave an example of Michael Krmencik’s video interview with Persija Jakarta.
In his interview on Persija’s YouTube channel, Krmencik seemed to have difficulty conveying a sentence. Zima apparently monitors the impressions, and provides an assessment.

Zima said the ability to master a foreign language is very important for footballers. Because, it is in representing himself as a player in the international world.
“School is very important in general, even when you have success in your football career. I recently watched Michael Krmencik’s interview in Jakarta, and was worried about how [dia berbicara] not like using English [dengan baik]”Said Zima in his interview with the site iTODAY.
“At school, I always tried to get a minimum grade point average. Values are less important than general knowledge and language. You don’t necessarily have to be a nuclear expert.”
Zima who was brought in by Torino from Slavia Prague on August 31, 2021 for a transfer value of € 5 million. Zima said he had difficulty adapting, especially in terms of communication. The reason, in Italy not much use of English. But he had prepared himself long ago.
“I was told from the start: They only speak Italian. You understand or not, you should always try to understand,” Zima said.
“You will be more developed in normal communication than having to take courses, because it will increase your vocabulary. I will continue to do so in the future.”
“I don’t mean to brag. But if there is a need, there is an interview in Italian, I will do it. I will make arrangements but without any additions, because my English is much better.”
The player who is considered a potential star for the Czech Republic also talked about his opportunities with the national team. Zima admits that he fits into the three-back scheme adopted by coach Jaroslav Silhavy.
“I can adapt. The advantage of a three-man defense is that you will feel closer, especially against a team of good quality. It’s also very good attacking, because you can still leave two defenders at the back. I prefer it to a back four,” Zima explained.
