Tomás Satoransky: “I am very excited to return to Barcelona”

“I know I have something left to do with you, Catalans. Someday I want to lift a trophy with you, ”Satoransky wrote in the summer of 2016 when he left for the NBA. Now, six years later, the Czech returns to Barcelona to begin a second stage under the orders of Sarunas Jasikevicius. “I was talking to Saras to find out what he expects of me. I’m at a stage in my career where the priority is collective success and not individual success. I really love this hobby and I’m very happy to play here again, “admitted Sato, who still remembers the reception the Dragons gave him when he returned to the Palau Blaugrana as a spectator of a match.

Satoransky has played the last six seasons in the NBA, from 2016 to 2022. The baseman has played a total of 388 games averaging 7 points, 3 rebounds and 4 assists in 22 minutes on average. The team in which he has played the most games has been the Washington Wizards, in which he played three full seasons (2016-2019) and the second half of this season 2021/22 for a total of 232 games. From 2019 to 2021 Satoransky played for the Chicago Bulls and there he completed his best year in the 2019/20 season: 10 points, 4 rebounds, 5.4 assists in 29 minutes per night. Eventually, the 2021/22 school year began in New Orleans, but in February he was transferred to Portland, then to San Antonio, and finally reached an agreement to terminate his contract. He finished the season with the Washington Wizards where he played an average of 19 minutes.

Barça, who last week announced the signing of Jan Vesely, also have Oscar da Silva, the pivotal winger of the Dawn of Berlin, and Nikola Kalinic. The Barça club presented a formal offer for the Serbian winger and Valencia Basket has until Friday at 11:59 pm to match it.

As ARA explained, Barça B will not compete next season in the LEB Plata and will continue in the EBA League. The Barça club has reached an agreement with CB Salou to exchange places.

Pedro Martínez will continue in Manresa

After a historic season, Baxi Manresa and Pedro Martínez have extended their relationship for the next two seasons. His two assistants, Salva Camps and Marc Estany, will also continue in the Bages team until 2024.

“I am very happy to continue to be part of the Manresa family. We hope to make a competitive team, as we have many changes ahead, but we want to maintain the values we have maintained in recent seasons. We hope to continue enjoying the sport, our fans and doing things the best we can “, explained the Catalan coach, who will be in his 30th season at the ACB.
