They make mischief to Bravos

Juarez City- In a match in which emotions came to an end, the FC Juárez Braves still did not win at home and this Friday they tied 1-1 with the Toluca Red Devils in a match for matchday 6 of the MX League Apertura 2022.

The Braves have nine games without winning at the Benito Juárez Olympic Stadium, since they haven’t done so since matchday 1 of the previous tournament when they defeated Necaxa 1-0 on January 7.

The Braves did not take advantage of coach Ignacio Ambriz’s decision to send an alternative team from Toluca, but they added their sixth point in the tournament, after one win, three draws and two losses.

The local team was also unable to respond to the dedication of the fans, who did not stop encouraging the Juarense club.

Already in the actions of the match, the visit made the first offensive warning at minute 10 with a long-distance shot from the left sector of the area, but goalkeeper Alfredo Talavera was attentive and with a great save he sent the ball out to concede a shot corner.

The Braves disturbed Brazilian Tiago Volpi’s goal for the first time in the match in the 26th minute with a shot by Jesús Dueñas that went wide of the goal.

In the last 15 minutes of the first half, the match lost intensity and neither team had any interesting play to break the tie, so the players left at half time and the score still indicated 0-0.

The team from Ciudad Juárez started the second half with greater determination in search of the goal and was about to achieve it at minute 53; Dueñas again finished off the goal, but this time Volpi was the one who prevented the ball from entering the goal.

For the third time in the match, Dueñas finished off in front of the goal and now it was Toluca’s defense that deflected the ball and sent it to the corner kick, this at minute 61.

Bravos insisted and the play in the Toluca area was becoming more and more dangerous, but the goal still did not fall in the stadium. At 65 ‘Mauro Lainez crossed his shot too much and passed to one side of the base of the post.

The Devils again created danger until the 79th minute in a free kick play in which Carlos González finished off with a header, but the ball went to the side of Talavera’s cabin.

Finally, the Braves went ahead on the scoreboard in the 87th minute thanks to Maximiliano Olivera’s free kick from the right wing that crossed the entire area and entered the goal to make it 1-0.

But the excitement was not over yet and the mischief was made. Toluca tied the match 1-1 at minute 90 with a header from Chilean Jean Meneses inside the area.

In the last play of the match Sebastián Saucedo del Toluca was expelled for an assault, after the footballer left the field the referee signaled the end of the match.

The Bravos will play again at home in their next game when they host Atlético San Luis in an early match for matchday 16 of the tournament, which will be played next Wednesday at 6:00 pm.
