The average of the Tour has exceeded 40 kilometers per hour in thirteen of the fifteen stages, all except the two alpine ones, and in five it has gone above 45 km/h
There was a time when the 25 mph barrier separated fast racing from the rest. That distinction is history. At least if we stick to the averages that the stages of the first two weeks of this Tour de France have brought.
