Lucas Stassin finds color in Westerlo. His good end to the season even attracted the attention of VFB Stuttgart.
A year ago, it was through the back door that Lucas Stassin left Anderlecht. Called several times by Felice Mazzu, the 20-year-old striker completely disappeared from circulation under Brian Riemer, to whom his profile did not return.
After the end of the season spent with the U23s, Stassin left Sporting to find playing time in D1A, on the side of Westerlo. In Campine, however, everything has not always been simple.

An assessment not as trivial as the context of the Europe Playoffs might suggest: Sacha Tavolieri reports in fact that the VfB Stuttgart has made it one of its summer targets and has even been quite insistent for several weeks.
The Germans, currently third in the Bundesliga and qualified for the next edition of the Champions League, notably came to watch it during the last match in Sint-Truiden and left reinforced in their opinion.

The VFB thus seeks to compensate for the future departure of Serhou Guirassy, author of 25 goals in the league this season. The option to purchase Deniz Undav should be lifted, Stassin would arrive – if this materializes – with a view to a rotation between three attackers.
It remains to be seen whether he will take the plunge this summer. Lucas Stassin signed a contract until 2027 at Westerlo and his initial plan is to stay for a second season to confirm. For their part, the Campinese would demand eight to ten million euros.
