Two-time National Basketball Association (NBA) MVP Giannis Adetokunbo will prepare for the tournament with his brothers Alex, Costa and Thanasi. Also, the candidates for the Greek national team include such experienced players as Nik Kalates, Kost Sluks and Kost Papanikolaou.
The Greek men’s basketball team will meet Italy, the host of subgroup C, as well as Croatia, Great Britain, Ukraine and Estonia in the subgroup of the final tournament of this year’s European Championship.
In August, in the second stage of the 2023 World Cup, where the Greeks are in the same subgroup as the Latvians, matches against Serbia and Belgium are expected.
