Mirei Kasahara, a female manager at Japan Aviation Ishikawa
The 104th National High School Baseball Championship will start on August 6th at Koshien. Since entering high school, the children who have been affected by the new coronavirus are fighting hot battles in various places, aiming for a dream stage. This time, at Full-Count, I approached the heart of the female manager who has supported the players for two and a half years.
Mirei Kasahara (3 years) who is a female manager at Japan Aviation High School Ishikawa. Aiming for her dream of becoming a cabin attendant (CA), she enrolled in the school from her hometown of Fukui, where she trains talent to work in the aviation industry. She also suffered from Korona-ka, and she initially took online classes at her home, delaying her enrollment significantly in June.
“I took the exam because I wanted to be a CA. I knew that I was a high school that is also focusing on sports, but at first I never imagined that I would be a manager of the baseball club, but it was very lively. Everyone’s faces were shining. I thought “I want to try” in an atmosphere I’ve never seen before. “
At the same high school, basically, if there is hope, one female manager in each grade is enrolled. It is said that five people, including Mr. Kasahara, applied for this grade. Like the members, they only have one day off on Mondays a week. Supporting the baseball club, such as organizing tools and preparing food for about 100 players, is something that cannot be done with half-hearted feelings. Director Takashi Nakamura said that he interviewed the desired students twice.
