The kick-off of the local stage of the capital will be on July 26 with the opening in Soccer, at the Tesorieri Club.
After the stoppage due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which determined the suspension of the last two editions, the long-awaited return of the Evita Games is a reality, since the nation determined that the final stage will take place from October 24 in the city of Mar del Plata.
From that, each province must develop the preliminary instances, to determine their representatives in the national stage. And in this framework, La Rioja already has a calendar for the start of the local stage of the Capital, from which the athletes of the department will emerge, for the Provincial stage in which the representatives of the 18 jurisdictions will converge.
The opening will be the soccer dispute, which will take place from Tuesday, July 26 to August 5, at the Club Atlético Américo Tesorieri facilities. Then, the tentative schedule includes the following programming:
Basketball 5×5 from August 8 to 12 at the Evita Sports Center; Futsal and Basketball 3×3 between August 15 and 16 at the Evita Sports Center; Handball between August 17 and 18 at the Evita Sports Center; Hockey between August 17 and 18 at the Polideportivo Perón; Athletics between August 19 and 20 at Center No. 5; Volleyball from August 22 to 24 at Poli Evita; Beach handball between August 25 and 26 at Poli Perón; Beach volleyball between August 29 and 30 at Poli Perón.

The 2022 edition will have the participation of 20 thousand athletes, from the U-14, 15, 16 and 17 categories, who will represent the 23 provinces and the autonomous city of Buenos Aires. In the next Games, 55 disciplines will be played, since six new ones were added: Futsal, Beach Handball, Skate, Tennis, Archery and Roller Skate. It should be noted that the disciplines in which athletes can participate are: Aquathlon, Chess, Archery, Athletics, Badminton, 3×3 and 5×5 Basketball, Boxing, Canoeing, Basketball, Cycling, MTB, Climbing, Fencing, Soccer 11 and 7, Futsal, Artistic Gymnastics, Rhythmic Gymnastics, Trampoline Gymnastics, Handball, Beach Handball, Hockey, Judo, Karate, Olympic Lifting, Freestyle Wrestling, Greco-Roman Wrestling, Swimming, Artistic Swimming, Optimist, Figure Skating, Roller Skating, Paddle Ball, Rugby, Skate, Taekwondo, Tennis, Table Tennis, Shooting, Volleyball, Beach Volleyball and Windsurfing.
