After a very exciting group phase, Katharina and Kay Höhne had to give up after the 6-4 defeat in the quarter-finals against their club colleagues Michael Keil and Göran Wurbs. And after the BSRK doubles as well as Dahlmeier/Ewert and Balke/Ziegler had also made it through to the semi-finals, the third clay court was officially inaugurated in the evening with a small celebration to which all TTC members, helpers and friends were invited.
Permanent guest is happy about four cup wins
On Sunday afternoon the doubles tournament ended with the semifinals and the final. After winning the semi-finals, Dlugaiczyk/Herzig and Keil/Wurbs faced each other in the final. Although some games went beyond the debut, the BSRK duo prevailed quite clearly with 6:1 and 6:2 after sets. This title win was a very special one, especially for TTC permanent guest Dlugaiczyk. After winning singles, over 40 mixed and now also doubles tournaments, he won all the TTC trophies. “I’m happy that I now had all the challenge cups of the TTC at home,” said Dlugaiczyk.
