The Union Internacional de peñas Atletico de Madrid, the umbrella supporters body, has written an open letter in which a possible arrival of Ronaldo is razed to the ground.
“As the arrival of Ronaldo seems more than a simple rumor, we would like to express our strong rejection of a possible transfer.”
“The player is the polar opposite of the values that characterize Atletico: struggle, generosity and humility.”
“Even if a player who is clearly in decline like Ronaldo – however unlikely – could take the title to Atletico, we would still not accept his arrival.”
