Süle turned down this offer at Bayern Munich

National player Niklas Süle has been in team training with his new club Borussia Dortmund since this week and wants to risk another attack on the top of the Bundesliga with BVB. There was no future for the central defender at Bayern after he was unable to agree on a contract extension with the club management. The exact framework conditions of the proposed contract offer have now been revealed.

As the “Sport Bild” reported, the 26-year-old was initially made a verbal offer by the Munich sports director Hasan Salihamidzic.

Süle was offered the similar conditions that Jérôme Boateng had once obtained from the German record champions: a fixed annual salary of eight million euros, plus up to four million euros in additional bonus payments.

The defense star is said to have rejected this offer as well as all other possible renegotiations.

Süle rises directly to one of the top earners at BVB

The farewell from Munich was therefore certain relatively early on, because according to the media report it was also clear to the club management around Salihamidzic and CEO Oliver Kahn: There would be no further, improved offer for Süle.

As is well known, BVB then came on the scene and secured the services of the defensive giant. Süle signed a contract with the Black and Yellows until the summer of 2026 and rose directly to one of the top earners at Dortmund.

According to media reports, the native of Frankfurt should earn up to eleven million euros a year with the Westphalians and thus receive the highest salary in the entire BVB squad after captain Marco Reus.

Süle was under contract for FC Bayern for a total of five years and was German champion there every year.
