Rihards Lomažs moves to the Spanish ACB league – Basketball

The Zaragoza team has concluded an agreement with Lomaž for the next two seasons.

The Latvian basketball player spent the last season in the Turkish championship, representing the Denizli “Yukatel Merkezefendi Belediyesi” team, in which he averaged 14.9 points, 2.3 rebounds and 4.9 assists.

Before that, since 2019, Lomaž represented the French club ASVEL of Villers-Bains, which plays in the ULEB Euroleague, but in January 2021, he changed the team for the purpose of game practice, moving to the German team “Gottingen”.

Before becoming a legionnaire, Lomažs played for Latvian club “Ventspils” for four seasons, becoming the national champion. Before that, Lomaž developed his skills in the Ventspils “Spars” team, and also played in Jelgava and Jūrmala units in the strongest league in Latvia.

Last season, “Casademont” finished the ACB regular championship in 16th place, avoiding relegation to a lower league.
