For weeks there have been rumors about superstar Neymar (30) that the Brazilian could leave his club Paris Saint-Germain.
Now the surprising news: As the Spanish magazine “Sport” reports, the offensive ace is said to have used a clause in his contract to independently extend until 2027 with the French. And that’s going to be really expensive for the Sheikh Club!
Neymar’s original working paper ran until 2026. He came from FC Barcelona in the summer of 2017 for the record sum of 222 million euros and, after a contract extension in the meantime, had already drawn a unilateral option for another year last summer. Now again!
Will Neymar stay in Paris for good?
Recently, statements by PSG boss Nasser Al-Khelaifi (48) have made people sit up and take notice. The Qatari club boss explained after the season that he no longer wanted ‘bling bling’ at PSG, declaring: “Some will come and some will go.”
According to “RMC Sport”, those responsible for PSG had come to the conclusion that Neymar was no longer needed in the Prinzenpark. The noble technician is said to have felt attacked by Al-Khelaifi’s statements and would therefore have thought about leaving Paris himself.

With the extension, Neymar is now sending a sign that he has no problem staying in Paris for a long time – and continuing to cash in there. A sign that the PSG bosses could well understand as a provocation.
