Paris Saint-Germain Appoint Christophe Galtier, Leonardo Wants Thiago Motta & Paul Pogba

Leonardo had very different transfer plans before he was sacked as PSG director.

Former Paris Saint-Germain director Leonardo wants to appoint Thiago Motta to replace Mauricio Pochettino and sign Paul Pogba from Manchester United.

PSG are believed to have reached an agreement with Christophe Galtier, who will replace Pochettino as the new coach.

PSG have already sacked Leonardo at the end of the 2021/22 season, and the French Ligue 1 giants have already signed Luis Campos as their new director.

PSG won the Ligue 1 title, but they failed again in the Champions League so Leonardo was relieved of his duties at the end of the season.

The Parisian revealed that Leonardo’s plans were very different. Pochettino will still be sacked, but the main candidate to replace him is Thiago Motta.

Motta, a PSG legend, coached Spezia last season, but has now been replaced by Luca Gotti.

Leonardo was also willing to bring Paul Pogba to Paris, but Campos wanted to change the club’s approach to transfers by signing young players with potential prospects who could develop at the club rather than world-class stars.

Pogba has now accepted an offer from Juventus and will join the Serie A giants on a free transfer for the second time in his career.
