Olivia Epoupa (28) is back in Turkey. The French international leader – four-time Euro finalist with Les Bleues and semi-finalist at the 2016 Olympics – joined Fenerbahçe Istanbul on Friday. It will be his third Turkish club, after Besiktas and Galatasaray between 2017 and 2019.
For two seasons, Epoupa had played in the French Championship, at Charnay-lès-Mâcon then at Lattes-Montpellier. This year, with the Hérault formation, she averaged 11.8 points, 6.4 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 4.1 steals in the Women’s League.
At Fenerbahçe, she will have Marina Maljkovic as coach. The latter had already led Olivia Epoupa at Galatasaray in 2017-2018. That year, the Turkish club had won the Eurocup.
