The corona noose continues to tighten in Wimbledon. Now another top player has been caught in Roberto Bautista Agut.

With Roberto Bautista Agut, another seeded player had to declare forfeit for the further course of the Grand Slam tournament in Wimbledon. World No. 19 from Spain announced he has tested positive for the coronavirus. Instead of the 2019 semi-finalist, the Colombian Daniel Galan (ATP 109) is now in the 3rd round.
“I hope to be back soon,” said Bautista Agut. Former Wimbledon finalists Matteo Berrettini from Italy and Marin Cilic from Croatia had already been hit.
Tests for Covid-19 are not mandatory at Wimbledon. As a rule, only those who are experiencing symptoms can be tested. (SDA)
