Millionaires tied 1-1 with Pasto in Liga BetPlay II 2022: fans protest against Gamero’s team | Colombian Soccer | Betplay League

Millonarios FC could not bring joy to its fans in the debut match of the BetPlay Dimayor II-2022 League, as it did not go beyond the 1-1 draw against Deportivo Pasto at the El Campín stadium, in game date 1 of the second championship of the year.

Alberto Gamero’s team infuriated the Albiazul fans, who since they arrived at the stadium made themselves heard, protesting the lack of signings for this semester, in quantity and quality. Thus, those who truly ‘took the stone’ out of the fans were not the footballers and the coach: things are against Enrique Camacho and Gustavo Serpa, president and largest shareholder of the Blue and White club.

In the first half, the ambassador, faithful to his custom, dominated the game and played more time in the rival’s field. At 34 minutes the prize arrived for the locals: a good collective play and the first goal by Luis Carlos Ruiz, signing in attack, for the 1-0.

However, in the second half, Millonarios was a disjointed team: without dynamics or high pressure; without ideas and with nerves; and with mistakes that cost him the win.

At 60 minutes, an error in the defensive return, a frightening hole in the blue, and a goal by Facundo Boné for Pastuso 1-1: a historic goal, as it was the thousandth in the history of the volcanic team in the First Division.

Millonarios could not decipher the rival’s defense and only added one point in his debut in League II. At the end of the match, chants of protest from the fans, who showed their fury at the lack of new faces in the ambassador.
