Everyone has a movie they would like to be in, but not everyone is lucky enough to be a lead actor. Actor Miles Teller reveals he’d like to star field of dreams but he wouldn’t want to restart it. For Teller, this is a perfect blend of his love of acting and his love of baseball.
Teller is a huge baseball fanatic
Fans of Miles Teller might assume that the actor is a drummer or fanatic of flying based on his roles in movies whiplash and Top-Gun: Maverick. In fact, however, the actor is a huge baseball fanatic. He recently partnered with eBay and unveiled his ultimate “Vault Star Lineup” – a collection of valuable and rare baseball cards. In an interview with People, Teller explains why he’s such an avid fan of the sport.
“I think for a lot of kids, especially when you’re young, you pick the things where you can really connect with an adult,” Teller said. “When I was a little kid I didn’t tell stories about philosophy and this and that, it was baseball. It seems like a simple game, but it is endless. And my fan base for collecting things related to the game has remained a part of that for me.”
The actor also joked that if he wasn’t an actor, he might have become a professional baseball player.
“I played [baseball] in high school, but I was pretty short,” Teller shared. “I didn’t have my growth spurt until my senior year and then after high school. So I say I became a D1 actress instead because I left [NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts].“

Miles Teller recently starred in it Top-Gun: Maverick, a sequel to the 1986 film and the highest-grossing film of 2022 to date. The sequel recreates many iconic moments from the classic film, and Teller shared with E! News that there’s another classic movie he’d like to star in field of dreams.
“Although I’m implying that I want to restart it. I think it’s a perfect film,” he said. “It’s just that father-son thing. I think a lot of kids bond with their dad that way. I was lucky – my father and I could talk about a lot of things – but still a catch is just very therapeutic for me. It’s like walking on the beach.”
field of dreams is a 1985 film starring Kevin Costner as an Iowa farmer who builds a baseball field after hearing a prophetic message from a mysterious voice. After he builds it, the ghosts of great baseball players come to play ball. field of dreams is considered a classic film and is a dream scenario for many baseball fans like Miles Teller.

In addition to Top-Gun: Maverick, Miles Teller is having a great 2022 with appearances in movies and TV. He recently appeared in Spinnenkopf on Netflix and also had a major role in The offer on Paramount+. The offer sees Teller working on another classic film that tells the origin story of The Godfather.
