Mercato: Everton would have established contact with PSG for Gueye

One year from the end of his contract, PSG is a priori looking to separate from Idrissa Gueye during this summer transfer window. The first club to position themselves was Galatasaray a few days ago, but the player was apparently not interested in a move to Turkey. More interesting for him perhaps, his former team, namely Everton, would be interested in a return of the Senegalese.

Indeed, the Toffees would have checked the name of the PSG midfielder among their list of recruits in this sector of play. The leaders of the English club would have even approached their Parisian counterparts. The information, which initially comes from an insider close to the Liverpool team, has been confirmed by Fabrizio Romano. Talks are said to be taking place between the two clubs, although they are still at an early stage.

If the discussions go further between PSG and Everton, the will of Idrissa Gueye will nevertheless remain to be clarified. Indeed, the latest echoes from the press indicate that the reigning African champion had in mind to stay with the Parisian club for his last year of contract and impose himself there. It remains to be seen whether a possible return to England would make him change his mind.
