Mercato: despite the agreement, Bara makes Dembl wait

After long months of disagreement and tension, FC Barcelona and Ousmane Dembl have finally come to an agreement. The Catalan club and its winger are very close to an agreement and have only minor details to settle. However, management is slow to definitively validate the operation.

Ousmane Dembl has accepted Bara’s terms.

When Ousmane Dembl’s agent Moussa Sissoko was spotted at Inter Milan headquarters on Friday, it was bound to be tempting to picture the Frenchman in black and blue. In reality, the intermediary moved to discuss another client, namely Dan-Axel Zagadou. Nothing to do with the 25-year-old winger whose soap opera is coming to an end.

Dembl is waiting for the final green light

The scenario was unthinkable a few days ago. But here we are, FC Barcelona has finally agreed with its best passer! The two parties are very close to an agreement for an extension, affirms in particular the Catalan press, which evokes simple details to settle.

Only here, Dembl, currently free, and who has always favored Bara, is waiting for the final green light from technical director Mateu Alemany. Mundo Deportivo understand that the Blaugrana have accepted a two-year contract, with a salary reduced by 40%. But the Catalan club does not seem completely certain to validate the lease.

The Raphinha case in question?

Difficult to explain this sudden slowdown. One would think that the Bara takes a malicious pleasure in making Dembl wait after his months of silence perceived as a lack of respect. But the wait imposed may have a link with the Raphinha case (25 years old). Because at the same time, Sport claims that Barcelona has revised its offer upwards, with an amount of €55m (excluding bonuses) offered to Leeds for the transfer of the Brazilian.

The increased offer has not yet received a response, knowing that the Bara would not be sure to integrate the two wingers into their squad. At least not until the next TV rights sale is confirmed. We should all the same know more in the next few days since coach Xavi hopes for the most complete group possible for the start of the tour in the United States next Saturday.
