Marc Marquez Again Long Absence in MotoGP, Aleix Espargaro Regrets Had Throwing Strong Criticism : Okezone Sports

NOALE – Aprilia Racing’s Aleix Espargaro has regrets for his actions against Marc Marquez. Before Marc Marquez decided to take a long absence in MotoGP, Aleix threw a strong criticism at the Repsol Honda racer.

To be precise, Aleix criticized Marc Marquez at the 2022 Spanish MotoGP. At that time, Aleix was annoyed that Marc Marquez continued to follow him during free practice 2 (FP2) to gain an advantage.

In addition, Aleix felt it disrupted the rhythm of being the fastest. Finally, Aleix couldn’t hide his annoyance and gave Marc a harsh critique. For the 32-year-old racer, Marc does have to tail other drivers for his own sake.

Aleix also admitted that he could not help but express his complaints at every opportunity. However, he now realizes that giving too harsh criticism to Marc Marquez is a mistake.

“If I don’t express how I feel, I’m not good with myself. I’m not a hypocrite, so I need to say what I feel,” said Aleix, quoted from Motosan, Saturday (23/7/2022).

“Sometimes it’s a mistake. When I blame Marc Márquez for what he did, it was a mistake,” added the older brother of Pol Espargaro.

In fact, Aleix admitted that he had done the same thing during his racing career. Aleix even himself at that time was quite emotional with what Marc Marquez had done to him.

“I did many times in the past more than him, 10,000 times more than him, but at that moment, in that moment, I felt that I had to say that, and I said it.”
