GONSENHEIM – The summer festival of the gymnastics community 1861 Mainz-Gonsenheim (TGM) has now taken place. In the afternoon, the various sports groups presented themselves and showed what is possible in mass sports. Many different sports stations were set up on the outdoor area and everyone was invited to participate. In addition to a varied perception course in the athletics room, there was an area for functional training with multifunctional equipment.

With the charitable raffle in favor of the Juvente Foundation, something could also be done for a good cause. Those who were interested could get a taste of the various sports on offer. The AOK health insurance company also offered a free cell protection check and a competition. With great weather and a correspondingly good mood, it started with a dance of a formation on the stage. The summer party is a thank-you event for everyone who is committed to sport in Gonsenheim at TGM and feels connected to it, be it as an athlete, member of the board or full-time employee in the club. The guests of the summer festival expected cool apple spritzer and bockwurst with rolls. They sat in the shade under the old trees and watched the hustle and bustle on the stage from there. In addition, the children and young people were entertained with small activity stands that motivated them to move and play. Many offers were to be tested at the summer festival.

The TGM presented itself as a showcase for sport in its diversity and breadth on the outdoor area at the gym. The large TGM family is connected by the common interest in doing sports and making sports possible, whether in the departments, the courses or in the care offers. As a welcome, a TGM announcer invited guests to explore the extensive sports facilities as part of the summer festival, to get a taste of various ball sports or to get to know martial arts. The badminton and fencing departments offered many hands-on activities. Performances by the acrobatics and judo groups represented what was on offer in the movement and dance departments. The gymnastics club was also able to welcome Mayor Sabine Flegel (CDU). The visitors spent pleasant hours with interesting offers and performances with the best entertainment at the stands and tables. And they took the newly printed TGM course program home to study the sports they enjoyed at the summer festival. It was a nice new edition of the TGM summer party exactly ten years ago.
