At 60 years old, he is in his prime. At 22 he was “a chubby boy who weighed 95 kilos, smoked since he was 11 years old and the first time I tried to walk five kilometers, I couldn’t even do three. That was my first failure and I realized that it couldn’t be,” says Luis Álvarez. The Ironman man embodies the passion for triathlons and sporting challenges since he did his first in 1992. That’s when I decided to sell my company and change my life »he relates excitedly while pointing out his new occupation. “Now I dedicate myself to giving emotional talks and charitable causes such as guiding blind people in some Ironmans,” he says.
