Hit in the groin, Benoît Paire abandons in the first round of the Gstaad Open

Benoît Paire’s match against Elias Ymer started badly with a quick break that saw the Swede come off. But what followed was much worse. Shortly after, the French brought in the physiotherapist for a problem in the right groin.

Paire returned to the court, but his mobility was visibly affected and the games were scrolling in favor of his opponent. Led 6-2, 2-0 without really being able to fight, Paire then preferred to throw in the towel.
