The Latvian beach volleyball duo Tīna Graudiņa/Anastasija Kravčenok won the third set at the end of the quarter-finals of the Gstaad “Beach Pro Tour – Elite 16” tournament on Saturday, advancing to the semi-finals.
Graudiņa/Kravčenok won 2-1 (21:19, 21:18, 20:18) over the American duo Kristen Nas/Teyrin Klot.
In the Austrian tournament, the Latvian duo has already earned 900 world ranking points.
It has already been reported that in group F the Latvians beat Mexicans Atena Gutierrez and Maria Quintero (27th) 2-0 (21:17, 21:19) and defeated 2-1 (21:12, 21:23, 15:11) Americans Corinne Quigle and Sarah Schermerhorn (22nd)’, immediately qualifying for the second round of the playoffs.
In it, the Latvians defeated the Finnish duo Nina Ahtiainen/Tara Lahti 2-1 (22:20, 14:21, 15:10).
The Latvians will play the semi-final match and the fight for first or third place on Sunday.
