FC Barcelona: 12 players have to go – The Barça strike list – SOCCER

The austerity course at FC Barcelona is taking on ever larger forms!

The Spanish top club has been working for months to get as much money as possible for possible transfers in order to become the house number again on the transfer market.

The heavily indebted Catalans (€1.35bn) have sold part of their television rights for more than €200m. The company Sixth Street is investing 207.5 million euros in exchange for ten percent of the television rights for the next 25 years.

According to the club, the transaction now gives Barcelona a total capital gain of 267 million euros for the current season.

At a general meeting in mid-June, among other things, the sale of the media rights was approved. The sale of a 49.9 percent stake in Barça Licensing and Merchandising (BLM) was also approved, which should bring in 200 to 300 million euros. Barça hopes that a total of around 700 million euros will flow into the empty club coffers.

In order to be able to finance mega transfers such as the potential entry of Bayern star Robert Lewandowski (33), Barça also wants to give away its own players. According to information from “Spox” and “Goal”, the club has an extra strike list with 12 professionals!

The most famous name: Frenkie de Jong (25)! The Dutchman has been linked with a move to Manchester United for weeks. According to several English and Spanish media reports, ManUnited and Barça have already agreed on a fee of 65 million euros. The problem: de Jong prefers to stay in Spain!

With Sergiño Dest (21), Samuel Umtiti (28) and Clement Lenglet (27), three defenders are to be sold who draw princely salaries but received little playing time last season. Young defender Oscar Mingueza (23) can also go, as can Moussa Wagué (23).

In addition, four attackers are on the hit list! Memphis Depay (28), Francisco Trincão (22), Martin Braithwaite (31) should bring further salary savings. Miralem Pjanic (32), Riqui Puig (22) and substitute keeper Neto (32) can also leave Barcelona.
