Estavana Polman leaves Esbjerg after conflict: ‘Not the way I wanted to end’ | Other sports

In the video, Polman again does not show the back of her tongue. She keeps the ‘whole story’ behind her departure to herself. The Orange players especially want to thank everyone who has supported her.

“It’s been a great journey, nine years,” says Polman. “I came here as a young girl and now I’m leaving as an ‘adult girl’. This is not the way I wanted to end. “I want to finish that. This is not the way I want to say goodbye. I want you to know that you, Esbjerg, the fans, the volunteers have a special place in my heart.”

Polman was very successful in Denmark, but this year, despite an ongoing contract, suddenly ended up on a side track. Esbjerg wanted to get rid of her and no longer let her train with the group. In an interview with this site, she said in April that she was very affected by the situation. “If you are treated like this after nine years, I think it is sad,” she said at the time. “I really hope that a solution will be found.”

That solution no longer lies in Esbjerg. It is not yet clear where Polman will continue her career.
