Despite having only one month to prepare, because the calendar does not give respite and the League will begin the weekend of 13 and 14 August, Girona will finally play this summer a new edition of the Costa Brava Trophy. And there are already 45, after being left blank in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic, and last year for taking advantage of it to offer a match of a solidarity nature with Juan Carlos Unzué as the protagonist . This time, the special guest is Club Bolívar, almost a hundred years old, the club with the most fans in his country and which is also owned by Marcelo Claure, one of the largest shareholders in Montilivi.

The proper names do not end here, we must also add that of Àlex Granell, a whole institution in Girona and currently in the Bolivian team, which a few weeks ago was crowned champion of the Apertura tournament and now lives the first bars of the called Closing, the second part of the season. The Costa Brava of this 2022 will be played on Saturday 6 August (21 hours) and, unlike other occasions, will not be played at the Montilivi stadium but the action will move to the Palamós-Costa Brava. The white-and-red facility will not be accessible until the beginning of the school year because, among other actions, the lawn will be renewed. Members will enjoy a slight advantage in the price of tickets: 5 euros in the Goals, 10 in the Preferred and 15 in the Grandstand. All non-members will have to pay more: 12 euros for a seat in either of the two Goals, 18 in Preferential and 22 in Grandstand.
