Cardinals extend quarterback Kyler Murray’s contract through 2028

TEMPE, Ariz. — Kyler Murray has accepted the offer from the Arizona Cardinals and will remain with the team until the conclusion of the 2028 season.

The two-time Pro Bowl pick and first-round pick in the 2019 draft has agreed to a five-year, $230.5 million extension, with $160 million guaranteed.

The Cards went 5-10-1 in its first season, before bouncing back to an 11-6 record in 2021, enough to advance to the first round of the playoffs, where they lost to the Los Angeles Rams.

In three seasons, Murray completed 1,057 of 1,581 passes (66.9%) for 11,480 yards and 70 touchdowns, against 34 interceptions. He added 1,786 yards and 20 touchdowns on 314 carries.
