In the match between Deportivo Pasto and Unión Magdalena for the fourth day of the closing tournament of the BetPlay League 2022 an unusual situation away from sports happened. The Dimayor resolved “Sanction the Pasto Sports Association club with five million pesos ($5,000,000) for incurring in the infraction described in literal d) of article 78 of the CDU of the FCF; in the match played for the 4th date of the Liga BetPlay DIMAYOR II 2022, against the club Unión Magdalena SA”.

• “Article 78. Other infractions of a club. It constitutes a punishable offense with a fine of five (5) to twenty (20) current legal monthly minimum wages at the time of the infraction, when the club in question engages in any of the following conduct:

  d) To the club that, without the authorization of the tournament organizer or without just cause accepted by the referee, modifies the official schedule of the match, delays its beginning or continuation or does not appear opportunely to the formal acts”.

This is due to the fact that, according to Deportivo Pasto, the canine entered through the northern area of ​​the enclosure, a place that is easily accessible for animals, for which the Major Division of Colombian Soccer established that the club was aware of this access and did not take the appropriate measures to prevent this from happening.

For its part, Pasto also added that “the stadium facilities are administered by the Department’s Department’s Department of Recreation and Sports, aspect that makes maintenance and permanent attention difficult by the Club, to certain places that present facilities for the access of animals to the stadium”, but still, the sanction was imposed for the team.
