Baseball: the Huskies are under pressure

The Rouen baseball team will have to achieve faultless in its next two meetings. The first is played at the Saint-Exupéry stadium, with two matches scheduled against the Cometz de Metz on Saturday July 2 and Sunday July 3, 2022.

This season, the Huskies have already lifted two trophies: the Challenge de France and the European Cup (Confederation Cup). But they are still not satisfied! The Rouennais are now turned towards a final objective: a seventeenth title of Champion of France.

Be careful, the case does not look easy. First because the Huskies stumbled at leader Savigny the previous day (5-7 / 4-7). Then because they are under pressure from these same Lions of Savigny-sur-Orge, at the top of Pool A, and the Cougars of Montigny-le-Bretonneux, second. As a reminder, you must finish in one of the first two places to qualify for the semi-finals, scheduled for July 31 and August 6 and 7.

In the meantime, manager Boris Marche’s men must beat Metz at home this weekend and the Paris University Club (PUC) at home on July 24. They will have an attentive ear to the match Savigny – Montigny, which takes place this Sunday on the field of the leader.

The Huskies intend to maintain the beautiful popular dynamic triggered during the European Cup disputed at the beginning of June on the Pierre-Rolland ground of the Saint-Exupéry stadium. Local supporters are expected to push the pack to the top. They can also do it remotely since both rounds are broadcast on Huskies TV. History is on!
