Between August 1 and 6, a new edition of the Los Cabos Open arrives, in Cabo San Lucas in Mexico. This contest belongs to the ATP 250 category, and is played on cement courts. Share a week with Washington.

It will be the sixth edition that the Los Cabos tournament has its place within the ATP circuit. In 2016 it started with the title of Ivo Karlovic, followed by Sam Querrey, then it went to Fabio Fognini, in 2019, Diego Schwartzman conquered it and the last one after the 2020 break went to Cameron Norrie. The Briton will be present with the aim of being the first to win this tournament twice, but the same thing happens with Fognini, who will also be there in 2022.
This edition will have the special luxury of having Daniil Medvedev, number one in the current world, top seeded. Following the Russian, appear both Happy Auger-Also as Cameron Norrie y Miomir Kecmanovic, the names that will debut directly in the second round of the Mexican contest. In the batch of seeds there are other outstanding players such as Thanasi Kokkinakis y Brandon Nakashimalike the Argentine Thomas Etcheverry and the aforementioned Fabio Fognini.
