Asllani lands in Milan

“I’m excited,” says Kosovare Asllani (Sweden, 1989) in his first statements as Milan’s new footballer. The Swedish striker announced her departure from Real Madrid a month ago after not renewing her contract with the white team, which ended yesterday, June 30, and now start a new adventure as a footballer rossoneri which will run until 2024.

“I am happy to come to a club with so much history”, says an Asllani who just a week ago harshly criticized Real Madrid from the concentration with the Swedish team, with which he will play the European Championship in England this July. “It’s hard to go into details, but it’s very much about I think there is a culture in that club, which unfortunately has been created, which I would call an unhealthy environment for the players, in which I myself have been, where among other things I have almost been forced to play injured and I have not received help,” he declared.

Now, the Swedish attacker arrives at a Milan that has a path very similar to that of Real Madrid in women’s football. It was formed in 2018 after the acquisition of Brescia from Serie A (Real Madrid bought Tacón in 2019) and this season it was in third position in the League, just like the white team in the Spanish. In addition, it should be noted that the Italian competition will also be professional in the 2022-23 campaign. With Asllani, Milan wants to make a leap in quality.
