One more step towards an unexpected return to the highest level for the 35-year-old pivot, who could have been paralyzed for life after a serious spinal cord injury contracted during the Olympic Games last summer.

A possible return to the Great League which is a miracle when you know the hardships that the Australian has had to go through in recent months. As we told you earlier this year, Baynes came close to disaster last summer, right in the middle of the Tokyo Olympics. Already the victim of a bad fall when he fell on his neck and head in a match against Nigeria, the pivot left his teammates a few days later against Italy to take a trip to the locker room. But he will not return, and his staff will find him lying on the ground, unconscious, a few minutes later. Unable to move even after regaining consciousness, the 35-year-old will learn very bad news following the exams he will pass: his spinal cord is affected and he risks spending the rest of his life in a wheelchair. After 10 days of great effort, Baynes manages to recover in sufficient condition to return to his country and begin rehabilitation. According to the latest information reported by ESPN, Aron Baynes is seriously approaching a return to the NBA. The pivot has recovered enough physical abilities to relaunch his basketball career and appointments with several franchises have already been set up in Las Vegas. The opportunity to show a lot of people that he can still bring in a rough pivot role near the circle. The Boomer had also shown great progress in long-range shooting in recent years, making its profile even more interesting.
