Wimbledon – ball boy in distress: British tennis star Jodie Burrage becomes the savior

Realizing the ball boy’s plight early in the second set, Burrage immediately ran to get him a drink and some candy, handing them to the victim, who was now seated in a chair.

“He said he was going to faint and couldn’t speak properly. That was very worrying,” said the Brit, describing the anxious minutes.

“I tried to give him some sugar. A bottle of Gatorade and a sports gel, which wasn’t the best in the situation. In the audience they found a couple of Percy Pigs, which he got down,” Burrage said after the match : “He felt better after that.”

When asked if she was upset by the incident, Burrage said no: “It didn’t really affect me to be honest. I hit a great serve afterwards, probably the best in the whole match. If anything, it did to me helped.”
