Werder Bremen: The truth about the Ducksch exit clause – Bundesliga

“Marvin has proven his qualities as a goalscorer and provider in the 2nd division in recent years and we are convinced that he can help us directly.”

With these words, Werder manager Frank Baumann (46) introduced Marvin Ducksch (28) shortly before the end of the transfer window at the end of August 2021.

The goalscorer delivered! With his 21 goals and ten assists, Ducksch played a major role in Bremen’s resurgence last season.

It goes without saying that this goal tally also arouses the desires of even larger clubs. Werder can’t really plan with him yet. Because: Ducksch has an exit clause.

SPORT BILD reports the facts about the clause in the new issue! If a club wants to buy the striker out of his contract, which runs until 2024, he has to put around 7.5 million euros on the table!

So far it has been recognized that it is two million euros less. According to transfermarkt.de, Ducksch’s current market value is around four million euros. Last summer, Werder paid a fixed fee of EUR 3.2 million, plus EUR 500,000 in bonuses from promotion.

As SPORT BILD has learned, the clause should not expire until July 15th. After that, the fee would be freely negotiable.
