UEFA League of Nations: Hungarian footballers shock England, Germany defeats Italy – Football

The Hungarians also defeated the English in the first round match, winning 1: 0 at home.

For England, this is the heaviest loss on its field since 1928, when it capitulated to Scotland 1: 5.

The League of Nations tournament is in its third year.

Last season’s final tournament took place last October, with France winning Spain in the title race. In the first season, the final was hosted by Portugal, making the home team the first UEFA League of Nations champions in history.
