On the occasion of the general assembly of the Hem badminton club this Sunday, June 26, its president Marc Demeyere took stock.

There are new members, who testify to a return to normal. There are approximately 245 licensees. They were only 181 the previous season, and 221 in 2019-2020.

Projects for the year

The 2021-2022 season has been a very good year, with the club having won a lot of titles. The N2 team was maintained, and the pre-national went up to N3. The situation is more complicated in terms of finances: we had to manage a full sports season despite a drop in subsidies and very few private sponsors.

For the coming year, Hem badminton hopes to keep team 1 in national 2, team 2 in national 3 and raise team 3 to pre-national. The club will do everything to maintain and even complete the time slots, continue training and develop internships during the holidays.
