Titomers took 13th place in the men’s qualifying group B, which was enough to qualify for the final. The Latvian orienteering completed the distance in 13 minutes and eight seconds, 40 seconds behind the group winner Janika Michels.

In the men’s A qualification group, Jānis Tamužs finished in 24th place after 13 minutes and 26 seconds, but Andris Jubelis, who started in subgroup C, took the 22nd place with the result of 13 minutes and 39 seconds.

In women’s qualifying group A, Signe Sirma finished in 22nd place with 14 minutes and 37 seconds, and in subgroup C, Anna Eleonora Freimane finished in 15 minutes and 12 seconds, giving her 24th place. Meanwhile, Sandra Grosberga, the leader of the Latvian team, was disqualified in Group B.

The 15 fastest athletes in each group qualified for the finals.

On Tuesday, Grosmane was the only Latvian representative to qualify for the quarter-finals in the disqualification sprint, but did not reach the semi-finals while the Latvian team won the 18th place in the team sprint competition. The team consisted of Sirma, Jubel, Titomers and Grosberg.

The World Cup in Denmark was scheduled for the summer of 2020, but was postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
