The State Badminton Team goes into action from June 9 to 11

The Michoacán badminton team is ready to fight for the medals in what is its second participation in the CONADE 2022 National Games.

They go into action June 9-11 in Tijuana, Baja California.

The 13 racket players achieved their pass to the national fair after defeating their rivals in the regional stage that took place in Aguascalientes, from March 24 to 27 of this year.

Cynthia González Saveedra, coach of the team, said that derived from the physical and technical preparation that the athletes had for months, there are wide expectations to obtain metals in the competition.

The goal they set for themselves is to win three medals, and thereby surpass the achievements of last year.

Romina Bautista and Vanessa Calderón in the U-15 Women’s Singles category; Uziel Barrera and Fabio Mora (Under-15 Singles and U15 Men’s Doubles); Hans Serrano and Vanessa Calderón (Under-15 Mixed); Gaston Loeza (Under-17 Singles); Yaret Contreras and Valeria Contreras (Under-17 Women’s Doubles); April Guadarrama and Gastón Loeza (Under-17 Mixed); Karen Barrera and Sharon Serrano (Under-19 Women’s Singles) and finally, Karen Barrera and Sharon Serrano (Under-19 Women’s Doubles), are the players who will seek sports metals.
