Sanremo. Great success for the under 12 of Sanremo baseball who, in recent days, have graduated Ligurian champions with one day in advance!
Next step, at the beginning of September, with the national phase during which they will have to face the champion team of Campania: if they overcome this obstacle, they will participate in the concentration with the champions of Piedmont, Lombardy and Veneto.
«It is important to underline the growth of this group of young people – he declares Pino De Fazio, president of the team -, born from the collaboration of two clubs: Sanremo Baseball and Riviera Aquila of Finale Ligure. This was the first experience of participation in a baseball championship and the boys faced it with an uncommon determination, technically growing from game to game and, above all, given the young age, solidifying the belonging to the team group. For us it is a very important aspect, because even through this beautiful sport that is baseball we lay the foundations for the social growth of children. I thank the coaches Mario Cuneo and Filippo Paternò for the commitment and perseverance with which they follow them on their path ».
