The Municipality awarded scholarships to more than 200 local athletes

The first annual stage of the Scholarship Program was held at the “Islas Malvinas” Sports Stadium, with the presence of Mayor Guillermo Montenegro. 203 were delivered to representatives of 45 sports disciplines.

On the other hand, the ceremony had a special moment in which the Bonaerense Games Champion Cup was awarded, a merit that the General Pueyrredon Party delegation obtained in the 2021 finals.

Regarding the granting of scholarships, in detail it was given to representatives of judo, breaking, archery, volleyball, beach volleyball, sailing, boxing, table tennis, chess, taekwondo, rowing, paddle tennis, golf, basketball, gymnastics , squash, athletics, karate, handball, triathlon, swimming, artistic swimming, diving, field hockey, tennis, roller hockey, figure skating, racing skating, classic luge skating, surfing and SUP.

Regarding adapted sports, representatives of football for blind people, wheelchair basketball, paralysis football were benefited. cerebral, boccia, athletics, parapowerlifting, artistic swimming for people with Down Syndrome, futsal for people with Down Syndrome, powerchair football, swimming, surfing, parataekwondo and paracycling.

The act that was carried out with the presence of the beneficiaries, leaders and family members was coordinated by the Directorate of Federated Sports and Scheduled Events of EMDER. In addition, it is recalled that the amount of the scholarships comes from the Amateur Sports Fund, being approved by the Sports Advisory Council, and that the athletes are proposed by each Sports Federation.
