Kevin Cordón, a native of La Unión, Zacapa, is an athlete who has given much glory to national badminton. He has been the winner of several medals at the Pan American Games and came to compete for a medal at the last Tokyo 2021 Olympic Games.
Officially, he is considered the fourth best badminton player in the world, which is a source of pride for all Guatemalans.

But behind that sporting success story, there is another more human story, full of sacrifice, faith and perseverance. A story that deserves to be told and known by the general public.
Luna Producciones announces the shooting of a biographical documentary about one of our greatest sports figures today. The purpose of this project is to publicize not only Kevin Cordón’s sporting achievements, but also his origins and his hometown; while showing beautiful landscapes of our beautiful Guatemala.

Kevin Cordón, the “golden lefty”
The film project, which is scheduled to premiere next September at Alba Cinema, will be directed by Édgar Ramírez; who has more than 30 years of experience in the audiovisual world. The production will be in charge of Claudia Luna Porras, with 25 years of experience in the commercial and cinematographic area. The original idea is from Lily Cordón.
